Tricia Barker experienced a profound near-death experience
during her senior year of college at
the University of Austin after getting into a car wreck and going
into surgery. At the time, Tricia
did not consider herself a religious or spiritual person in the
least, but everything changed that
day. Her near-death experience story has been featured on I
Survived: Beyond and Back, National
Geographic Magazine, Simple Grace Magazine, Women’s World Magazine,
and The Doctor Oz Show.
Years after her Near-Death Experience, Tricia moved to South Korea
to teach and experienced
deep sexual trauma when she was brutally raped, and then dismissed
by law enforcement. In her
memoir, she dives deep into how her insights into life after death
were instrumental in her ability
to heal her heart and her mind, and how the courage humans must
exhibit to truly live in our
bodies is incredibly powerful. She wrote all about it in her
memoir, Angelsin the OR: What Dying
Taught Me About Healing, Survival, and Transformation. Tricia also
interviews healers and NDE-ers
on her YouTube Channel, “Be the Light of Your Own Healing.”
Beth Clayton Beth Clayton (your host) is a soul-based life and

past pain so they can deepen their relationship with their own
soul’s intuition, speak their truth
courageously and fulfill their most authentic desires. She is the
creator of multiple group
programs, retreats, and transformational workshops, leading
hundreds of truth-seekers toward
finding freedom and ease in their relationship with food, their
bodies, their lives and ultimately,
themselves.
In this episode, we dive into:
● The details of Tricia’s NDE, including the verifiable details
that would have been impossible
to know while she was unconscious in surgery.
● The mission Tricia received while in her NDE that defied her
current path.
● The beings of light or “angels” that Tricia met in the OR and
what they communicated to
her.
● The experience of unconditional love, and why it makes her
emotional to talk about even
to this day.
● The intuitive and energetic “gifts” that she returned with that
sometimes she wished she
didn’t have.
● The gifts Tricia returned with and the healing she found in
supporting her father as he
passed away.
● How she used her insight into life beyond the physical to help
heal herself from sexual
trauma that occurred years later.
● The paradox found in understanding oneself as a spiritual being
but still being in the
sometimes incredibly painful and difficult human experience.
● What living fiercely means to someone who has experienced
death.
